Agentic AI refers to artificial intelligence systems capable of pursuing complex goals with minimal direct human supervision. As groundbreaking as the Generative AI was, it was only the beginning. The transformative potential of Agentic AI has a huge potential to lead the next frontier in AI evolution. Here’s how Agentic AI can change the landscape:

1. End-to-End Task Completion: Agentic AI systems can manage entire workflows independently. For instance, an agentic AI could draft an email, attach a file, and send it, all without separate prompts for each action. Notable developments include Microsoft’s AutoGen and OpenAI’s research on advancing Agentic AI.

2. Decision-Making Ability: Moving beyond traditional AI’s predefined instructions, agentic AI can make decisions based on real-time data and situational analysis. This capability allows it to detect anomalies, analyse patterns, and optimise processes.

3. Learning and Adaptation: These systems continuously learn from data and past interactions, improving their accuracy and performance over time. They adapt their strategies and decision-making processes as new information becomes available.

4. Multi-Agent Coordination: Advanced agentic AI systems employ multiple specialised agents that communicate and coordinate to accomplish complex tasks more efficiently.
